Ashford Park was built largely in the 1940s and 1950s with small brick cottages and ranches. Today many of those have been renovated, expanded or replaced with much larger homes, so original roofs and brand-new ones sit side by side.
That means our work here ranges from replacing a worn-out roof on an original cottage to fixing flashing problems on a new build.
What we see on Ashford Park roofs.
Original cottage roofs. Older homes often have aging shingles, failed chimney flashing and limited attic ventilation.
Renovation transitions. Additions and second stories create complicated joints between roof sections.
New-construction defects. We regularly find missing kick-out flashing and short step flashing on newer homes.
Storm damage. Brookhaven sits in the same storm path as much of north Atlanta.
Before you re-roof in Ashford Park.
If you're planning an addition, talk to a roofer before construction starts. Designing the roof transitions correctly costs far less than fixing leaks later.
Frequently asked questions
Do you pull permits in Brookhaven?
Yes. We handle City of Brookhaven roofing permits.
Can you fix a leak on a new home?
Yes. Most new-home leaks come from flashing details. We'll find the cause and give you a report for the builder if needed.
Should I add standing seam to my porch?
It's a durable, attractive option for low-slope porch roofs and accents. We can show you examples.
